Tuchel came under fire for what appeared a hugely controversial decision to substitute Kane during the Champions League semi-final clash with Real Madrid, with the German giants suffering a late collapse in that contest to tumble out of Europe. Tuchel has confirmed as much, telling reporters when asked about Kane’s condition: “Harry is getting treatment from his personal doctor. He can't travel. He was already at the limit in Madrid. He had a complete blockade in his back, it's gotten worse and bothers him in everyday movements.”

The severity of Kane’s problem is not being revealed, with England boss Gareth Southgate sweating on his fitness.
