Everton reject Arouna Kone joins Turkish side Sivasspor

Turkish Super Lig newcomers Sivasspor have announced the signing of former Everton forward Arouna Kone.

The Ivorian penned a two-year deal after he was released by the Premier League side last month.

Kone joined Everton from Wigan Athletic in 2013 but struggled to make an impact under Roland Koeman in the last campaign as he only featured nine times and despite his desire to remain with the Toffees, he was not offered a new deal at the end of the season.

The Yigidos beat Bolton Wanderers, who were also keen, to the well-travelled talisman’s signature.
