Pulisic boasts an incredible bond with Wright as the pair have played together for a very long time - right through the various age group teams of the USMNT. And to make Wright's birthday a bit more special, the forward shared a throwback picture which could be from their U17 days with the USMNT.

Wright made a <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/snubbed-to-usmnt-history-maker-haji-wright-rewrites-record-books-first-outing-15-months-coventry-nations-league/blt48b8f73f57b0c492#csdd22f1e7819fb801" target="_blank">historic comeback in the USMNT</a> setup after 15 months with an incredible brace that propelled Greg Berhalter's troops to the CONCACAF Nations League final against Mexico - which they eventually won by a 2-0 margin. However, it must be noted that the manager<a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/usmnt-gregg-berhalter-concacaf-nations-league-haji-wright/blt4b7b8415c9e4e0c0" target="_blank"> first overlooked him</a> and only he was incorporated into the squad after an injury to Josh Sargent.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Wright will fly back to England across the Atlantic as soon as possible since Coventry City will lock horns against Huddersfield on Friday. Whereas, Pulisic will get on the pitch again with AC Milan on Saturday evening in a Serie A encounter against Fiorentina.
