Boehly continues to <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/todd-boehly-out-chelsea-removed-chairman-in-major-shakeup/blt95b93b64f015960f" target="_blank">attract criticism from frustrated supporters</a>, but he has been far from hands-on during times of struggle.

Pochettino has revealed as much, with the Argentine – who has <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/chelsea-mauricio-pochettino-fight-save-job-after-arsenal-humbling-blues-hierarchy-yet-decide-fate/blt0e0126138364d1cf" target="_blank">faced questions of his own future</a> – telling reporters when asked about communication between the dressing room and boardroom: “To be honest, in the last few months, we didn't cross messages, we communicated via the sporting director. Nothing's changed, we are not changing. My views and my feelings are not changing, even if, now in the last few weeks, we are not crossing texts.”

WHAT POCHETTINO SAID

Chelsea were <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/young-chelsea-fan-brutal-banner-goes-viral-blues-thrashed-by-arsenal/bltc12cf6cf794ba744" target="_blank">hammered 5-0 by London rivals Arsenal</a> in their last outing, having come unstuck in the FA Cup semi-finals against Manchester City immediately prior to that, but Pochettino added on the mood inside his camp: “We talk about being together and having a big squad, trying to be together. It's another thing we have to deal with. We need to be positive. The only way to move forward is to be positive, never give up, we are pushing them and trying to get the best in the period we have.”

The Blues sit ninth in the Premier League table with six fixtures left to take in. They could still <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/-bayern-munich-sell-harry-kane-120m-transfer-fee-mooted-trophy-pain-links-man-utd-chelsea/blt5cad437855895da7" target="_blank">claw their way towards the top six</a>, having played fewer games than all of those around them, with that quest set to continue on Saturday when taking in a trip to high-flying Aston Villa.
