Tomas Boy Happy With Morelia’s Personality
Despite losing the First leg of the Quarterfinals Tomas Boy feels happy with his team.

Morelia suffered a hard defeat against Santos on Sunday night. Morelia never took control of the game and will now have to go into the second leg with a goal disadvantage. Despite the loss; however, Morelia manager Tomas Boy expressed his surprising feelings for his team.
“I am calm because the team played with personality. It’s a new team that has never been to the Liguilla. There were some erratic situations with the ball but overall I think we played well,” Tomas Boy told Mediotiempo.com.
Morelia had clear chances to tie but never did.
“We could have tied with the ball that hit the post,” noted Boy. “Miguel Sabah also had his chance but couldn’t finish. I didn’t know how we would do but I am happy with how the team played.
Morelia had the clear advantage when the game was all squared and Santos went down a man. The momentum seemed to shift to Morelia but it wasn’t to be. Santos even with ten men scored just minutes later and held on for the victory. Boy knows it isn’t over. They still have to play in Morelos where he thinks Morelia can turn things around.
“It was a hard fought Liguilla game and there is still 90 minutes to be played. Santos defended well at the end and we could not go through. That’s just how things go sometimes, now we just have to be calm and await our next game,” signaled Boy.
Another part of the game that affected both teams was the poor refereeing job by German Arredondo. Boy admitted to have adjusted accordingly to keep his players out of danger.
“I had to make the change for Salazar during half time because the referee’s nervousness had me worried. We saw that with what happened to Santo’s players. It was a change I was forced to make because I need my players for the next game. We did not play the final game today,” said Boy.
