Tickets for this year’s CONCACAF Gold Cup are now officially on sale.
The tournament that is being held from July 3rd to July 26th in 13 cities across the U.S., will feature the top international clubs from CONCACAF.
Held every two years, the tournament brings together 16 CONCACAF nations to see who will be crowned the region’s top side. The last time the tournament was played, in 2007, the United States took home the trophy, for the third time in four tries.
The U.S. team are set to play their first match in Seattle at Qwest Field on July 4th against Grenada, with their next two matches coming on July 8th and July 11th, in Washington D.C. against Honduras and in Boston against Haiti, respectively.
In the history of the tournament, Mexico has been the most successful team, having lifted the trophy seven times, three more than the U.S.
El Tri start their campaign for an eighth tournament triumph in Oakland on July 5th against Nicaragua. Their second match is against Panama in Houston on July 9th. They finish out the group stage in Phoenix on July 12th when they take on Guadeloupe.
The final will be held at Giants Stadium in New York on July 26th.
