Puyol: Barcelona Know What It Takes To Beat Rubin Kazan
The Barca captain said he never made demands before renewing his contract.

Barcelona defender Carles Puyol says his side knows what it takes to beat Rubin Kazan in Russia when they meet in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.
The club captain also suggested that talk of crisis is not something the team can control but despite dropping points at the Reyno de Navarra against Osasuna at the weekend, Puyol believes his side are in good shape.
"We understand how hard we must play to win, whether the pitch or the temperature suit us or not. We are Barca and we'll always play with the same idea: keep the ball up in the opponents half and be aggressive," he told TV3.
"Talk of crisis is something that we cannot control, when there is a positive result not many things are said, but the only thing certain is that the team is fine and in Pamplona we played well and deserved to win."
Puyol also insisted that he never made any demands before signing his contract extension at the club and said he aims to play for the Blaugrana for the rest of his career.
"I never asked Pep [Guardiola] to play in one position or another to renew my contract. I only asked the club for time to reflect on a very important decision and, of course, it was never a question of money," he declared.
"The idea of starting and finishing here is exciting, so it made me so happy to renew. You never know what can happen, but I will work to be on top, be useful to the team, completing the contract and, if possible, continue another few years."
