Turkish giants Galatasaray have completed the transfer of goalkeeper Ufuk Ceylan from Manisaspor for an undisclosed fee, according to a statement on their official website.
The 23-year-old started his professional football career at Altay Izmir and joined Manisaspor in the summer of 2006. The 6ft 5in goalkeeper impressed with a number of outstanding performances at Manisaspor, prompting Cim Bom to make a move for him.
Ceylan has signed a five-year contract with the Istanbul powerhouse, but he will have to compete with Argentine glovesman Leo Franco for a spot in head coach Frank Rijkaard's starting XI.
The highly-rated goalkeeper has represented Turkey at Under-18, U-19 and U-21 level, but he has yet to make his senior debut for his country. Ceylan has been called up once, but did not get any match action in the end.
