The 40-year-old former Dutch international became a firm fans' favorite at the Gunners, ending his career in north London after previously starring for Ajax and Inter.
He has in the past hinted that he would consider joining Arsene Wenger's coaching staff at the Emirates, and has revealed that it is certainly England where he would like to cut his coaching teeth.
"I want to work and train a team in England," he told Dutch magazine JFK.
"Not as a head coach but instead as a member of staff, where I could work specifically with the strikers.
"Being a coach means you have to work 24 hours a day and that does not suit me. You have to watch matches at home, travel to see other teams, prepare training - it is something that I am not ready to do."
