Inter striker Adriano, who spent the last half season on loan with San Paolo and did quite well there, may end up in an unexpected place this summer. The 26-year-old could be loaned out yet again, this time to Sampdoria in Serie A. The Blucerchiati already revived Antonio Cassano's career last season, so they might be able to do the same for Adriano.

Despite doing well in Brazil these last few months, the player is probably not yet ready to feature prominently for Inter again already next season. That's especially the case if coach Roberto Mancini, with whom he's never been on good terms, stays in Milan.

Adriano's preferred destination is certainly Italy. With his former Parma team mate Alberto Gilardino already making the move to Fiorentina, Sampdoria could really help the former Inter star to get his career back on track.

In case the move does go through, most probably Samp will have to strike a deal with Inter to have them pay part of his considerable salary, as was already done with Real Madrid for Cassano.
