The Dutch giants are keen to rebuild their dominance in the Eredivisie and are looking to begin a new project with John van 't Schip stepping aside. Potter has been out of work since leaving Chelsea in April 2023 but built a good reputation for his brand of football. Nice boss Farioli is also in contention for the hot seat after enjoying a good season in Ligue 1.

WHAT HAPPENED?

Bringing in someone like Potter or Farioli would provide the first real period of stability since Erik ten Hag left two years ago.

THE BIGGER PICTURE

Ajax are a whopping 35 points behind Eredivisie leaders PSV with three games left to go in the season. They recently lost 6-0 away to Feyenoord and have shipped 58 goals, more than anyone in the top half of the table.
