WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>Suarez is <a href="https://www.goal.com/en-gb/lists/never-write-off-luis-suarez-critics-helped-inter-miami-striker-get-edge-back--betters-lionel-messi-goal-assist/blt9cbf1605cedcad22" target="_blank">closing in on 500 goals at club level</a>, with just three more efforts required to hit that mark, and is his country’s all-time leading scorer after finding the target on 68 occasions through 138 appearances for La Celeste.</p>
