Stankovic Slams Mancini Dismissal
Inter midfielder Dejan Stankovic has reacted angrily to Massimo Moratti’s decision to sack Roberto Mancini.

Mancini
received his marching orders on Tuesday after a reportedly explosive meeting
with President Moratti.
This decision has upset Stankovic, who was one of Mancini’s closest allies, having also played under him at Lazio.
“I was 90 per cent sure he would stay,” stated Stankovic.
“In my opinion his cycle is not over. Mancini won three Scudetti and four Cups in four years. A great club makes changes when the Coach is a flop, not when he has won three Italian championships in a row."
"I don't know what is going on. I guess it depended on the relationship between President Massimo Moratti and Mancio as well.”
Stankovic did admit though that Mancini kind of saw his dismissal coming.
“He thought it was becoming inevitable, as did we” the Serb explained.
“So much so, some of us did not want to celebrate the Scudetto victory.
“The last few weeks of the championship were very stressful and then there were the telephone interceptions.”
Stankovic was referring to the mafia scandal involving the club’s former tailor, who is a convicted murdered with Mafioso links.
