According to reports, Bayern Munich have opened negotiations with AC Milan over the potential transfer of Kakha Kaladze.
The Bundesliga giants are searching for cover in the centre of the defence following Lucio's sale to Inter and Martin Demichelis' continuing struggles with a knee problem.
Kaladze, according to Tuttosport, would be offloaded by the Rossoneri for a fee in the region of €4 million.
Milan's vice-president and trransfer guru, Adriano Galliani, is reported to have welcomed Bayern's interest in the Georgian, who has slipped steadily down the pecking order at San Siro.
Kaladze, who managed only 15 games in all competitions due to injury last season, is behind Alessandro Nesta, Thiago Silva and Oguchi Onyewu in the queue for a berth in the heart of Milan's defence.
