With just 24 hours to go until Angelo Gregucci makes his Serie A coaching debut, the Atalanta tactician appeared to be a little overwhelmed at the significance of it all when he spoke to Datasport ahead of the clash with Lazio.
“It will be a definite test against a team that has every reason to have confidence in their abilities,” he declared.
The former Lazio defender then highlighted what qualities he expects from his players, as they look to get their campaign off to the best of starts.
“Compact, determined, humble and ready for sacrifice – this is how I want my men to take to the field on Sunday,” he noted.
“Given my history at the Stadio Olimpico, tomorrow’s debut certainly has an emotional aspect which I simply cannot hide,” he concluded.
Lazio host Atalanta at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening at 20:45 CET.
