As Parma continue to sit in the top half of the Serie A standings, following their impressive return to Italy’s top flight, coach Francesco Guidolin looked to underline his side’s hard-working nature as they prepare to host Chievo on Sunday afternoon.
“We have been working on many things,” he declared to Ansa.
“My side is able to change its spots during the course of a game, but this isn’t the reason we have been winning games recently.
“I obviously don’t send my team on the field blind, but games are not won by tactics alone.
“The desire to improve, to achieve a result, and to push right to the death are the qualities that help bring in the points, and this is what we are working on as we look to improve going forward.”
The Gialloblu tactician then spared some kind words for his former pupil Mimmo Di Carlo, who will line up as his opposite number in tomorrow’s game.
“Di Carlo will be highly motivated. I used to coach him and I am happy that he is doing well in Verona,” he concluded.
