The midfielder's agent, Gilmar Rinaldi, has tried to play down the frequent transfer speculation surrounding his client, but has admitted that Simplicio could speak to other clubs in January.
"Simplicio to Roma? This is completely new to me," Rinaldi told Romagiallorossa.com.
"Fabio is being linked with a new club every day. A few days ago I was called up because it was rumoured that he could go to Lazio.
"Will he leave Palermo? These are assessments that we will make in January, before which time I don't want to talk about it."
"We have not considered the idea [that Simplicio could sign for Roma]. We will evaluate any possibility in January."
