For Matri this game is also important as he started his football career with the Rossoneri when he was young, even though he tried to play down this issue.
"It's a particular match for everyone, not only for me," commented the Sardinian side's player to sportmediaset.it. "You cannot remain indifferent aganst Milan.
"We shall play our game, without any fear. We want to do well, especially me, as I never scored against Milan. It would be a double satisfaction.
"We are doing well, but our objective must remain that of reaching the 40 points as soon as possible. It's an important game for us."
Cagliari are currently in eight place with 19 points from 12 games played, just two points away from a Champions League spot, following a string of good results in recent weeks.
