According to a report in La Repubblica, 11 Milan ultras have been charged with attempted extortion, threats and violence against the club.

Among the defendants listed are Giancarlo Lombardi, known as 'Sandokan', and Giancarlo Capell, known as the 'Baron', who is the undisputed leader of the Rossoneri's Curva Sud. Their preliminary hearing begins next Tuesday.

It is reported that the ultras, known as the Guerrieri ultras, tried to get match tickets for a cheap price or for free through intimidation or threats.

According to the prosecution, they told some employees of the club that they would "create disorder at football matches" so that their demands would be accepted.

Many of the Guerrieri ultras' members were formerly in the Fossa dei Leoni ultras group, which was dissolved in 2005 following an argument over two stolen banners.
