Roma striker Mirko Vucinic has told his team-mates to get nasty when they take to the pitch against Bari on Sunday as Serie A resumes this weekend after the international break.

"Our problem? We are too nice - we need to be nastier competitors," he told Il Romanista.

"Being nice guys is good for the group, less so for results."

When it was put to him that I Lupi's defence has sometimes let them down this season, Vucinic replied by saying that it was easy for onlookers to criticise.

"It's true, sometimes we let in very simple goals, but they always look simple from the outside," he mused.

The debate surrounding Thierry Henry's handball in Wednesday night's play-off between France and Ireland is continuing to rage, and Vucinic chose to dip his toe into the water.

"I don't know if [the officials] were influenced - I think it's certainly like that every time I play in Milan," he concluded.

The forward is beginning to find his form for club and country. Having scored against Inter in the Giallorossi's last game he then  found the net for Montenegro against Belarus on Wednesday.
