Atalanta boss Antonio Conte was very pleased with his side's 2-0 win away at Siena that lifted them out of the relegation zone.

"Since my arrival there has always been an emergency regarding injuries. Even today we were missing five players but having collected 12 points in this situation is very encouraging," he explained to Sport Mediaset.

"When we retrieve the other players we will do even better."

Meanwhile, Robert Acquafresca, who has been a disappointment this season, showed signs of turning things around by scoring his first goal since joining the club on loan and being involved in plenty of attacking moves for the Bergamo-based outfit in Tuscany.

"Robert had a couple of good chances, gave a certain liveliness to the attack and ran well," continued Conte.

Meanwhile, Atalanta will play Roma next weekend, who collected a 3-1 win over Bari.

"I have great respect for Roma and [their coach Claudio] Ranieri, who is a teacher for me but we will try to win on Sunday," he concluded.
