After watching his Catania outfit come from behind to share the spoils against Sicilian rivals Palermo, coach Gianluca Atzori perceived the glass as half empty as he bemoaned the Elefanti’s difficult start to the season.
“We put in a good performance for the umpteenth time and once again we haven’t obtained a victory,” bemoaned the coach to SkySport.
“I am frustrated we don’t seem to be able to put away everything that we create. With regards to the disallowed goal, I don’t think [Nicolas] Spolli was active when the ball flew past him and into the net.”
With the threat of the sack hanging over the coach’s head, Atzori then expressed his feelings on his future with the Rossazzurri.
“The club has stayed close to me in recent weeks and I have always felt their faith in me. Naturally they will always make valuations depending on results, but I will continue to work calmly because the squad is behind me.”
