Conmebol Confirm Copa Libertadores Final Dates

The Confederation Sudamericana de Futbol confirmed on Friday the dates of the two legs of the final of the Copa Libertadores. The matches between Estudiantes de La Plata of Argentina and Cruzeiro of Brazil are sheduled for July 8 and 15.

The first leg of the final will be played at the Cuidad Unico stadium in La Plata, and the return leg with be played at the Mineirao stadium in Belo Horizonte.

"The dates have been set, for the 8th at the Unico stadium of the city of La Plata and the 15th will be the date for the grand final at the Mineirao stadium of Belo Horizonte," affirmed the general secretary of the Federation, Eduardo Deluca.

In declarations to Fox Sports Argentina, Deluca said that Conmebol didn't receive any fax from Cruzeiro stating that they would not travel to Argentina because of the effects of the swine flu in the country.

"They are all rumours," he concluded.
