The former Argentina Under-20 international has come to the attention of several English sides after he was granted EU status by securing an Italian passport earlier in 2009.

Apparently, the likes of Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are keeping tabs on the 23-year-old.

Indeed, it is claimed that each of the aforementioned clubs sent a scout to watch the midfielder in action over the weekend, when he scored during a 3-1 victory over Roeselare.

The former Argentinos Juniors and Independiente star's British-based agent, Barry McIntosh, has confirmed that he is a transfer target for English sides.

"The interest in Biglia is growing all the time, and yes I can confirm a number of Premier League clubs are checking on him," McIntosh told Sky Sports.

"Lucas is a great talent and we have few qualms that he would be an excellent addition for any club.

"He is keen on a move to England, but we will have to see what transpires in the next few weeks."

It is thought that Biglia is close to breaking into Argentina's senior international setup and could even be included in their 2010 World Cup squad.
