The Catalan club have previously tried to include Henrique in the deal, an offer the Portuguese champions have reportedly turned down.
And, according to news daily O JOGO, Barcelona are now interested in using Keirrison in an attempt to lower the cash fee for Alves.
The Champions League titleholders have already reached an agreement with Traffic Sports Marketing, which hold 80 per cent of the striker's playing rights, but they have not finalised the deal of yet.
Keirrison had been tipped to be included in Barcelona's deal for David Villa, but he could now find himself playing for Porto on loan if the deal for Alves goes through.
