It is a game that had almost been forgotten but Bahrain
coach Milan Macala must pick his men up after their heartbreaking elimination
from the 2010 World Cup last Saturday to face Yemen in a 2011 Asian Cup
qualifier.
Bahrain lost 1-0 to New Zealand last Saturday but can almost seal a place in the continental competition with a win in Sana’a on Wednesday and making it three wins out of three.
"The game will be played at a critical time after we lost the chance to qualify for the World Cup," said Macala according to the-afc.com.
"We must have a good comeback against Yemen in order to get our third win.
"A win will help us to head into the remaining three games in the group in a confident mood. I hope that the players will have a good enough morale to win," added the Czech tactician.
"It is really hard to get out of the situation that we have at the moment. The players must concentrate on the game and forget Saturday's match, otherwise the consequences could be very hard on us.
"There might be some changes in the squad as some players are tired following the long journey we had. At the end, the best players will be in the squad in order to help us to win."
