Earlier reports suggested that the former Bayer Leverkusen star was on his way to Austrian champions Red Bull Salzburg, but a deal hasn’t been sealed yet. Therefore, Ze Roberto could opt to return to Brazil instead.
Brazilian giants Corinthians celebrate their 100-year anniversary this season and are keen to add some high profile players to their squad to add to the celebrations.
Chairman Andres Sanchez stated on the club’s official website that signing Ze Roberto is their primary target. Corinthians have already approached the player and negotiations will be opened in the upcoming days.
However, they face stiff competition from teams such as Santos, Sao Paulo and Los Angeles Galaxy to secure Ze Roberto’s services.
