A report in the Netherlands claims that KAA Gent striker Bryan Ruiz is being lined-up by Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim as a potential replacement for Demba Ba.
The Senegalese forward is widely expected to join Stuttgart in the coming days for around €15 million, and the Sinsheim club are reputedly keen on signing the Costa Rican from Belgian side Gent.
There is plenty of interest in the 20-year-old, with Anderlecht, Standard Liege and Dutch side Heerenveen also reportedly in the hunt for his signature.
Dutch newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws claims that Ruiz is the top choice of Ralf Rangnick’s Hoffenheim, and that the Sinsheim club are willing to invest some of the Demba Ba money in the Costa Rican international.
Ruiz scored 12 goals last season for the Buffalos as they finished fourth in the Belgian Jupiler League.
