According to a report in Bild, Bundesliga powerhouse Stuttgart are closely monitoring the situation of versatile Serbian youngster Gojko Kacar of Hertha BSC.
Stuttgart are keen to sign a new midfielder before the end of this transfer window due to the injury of Martin Lanig and the Schwaben have now reportedly made Kacar their primary target.
Markus Babbel's side were already being linked with a move for French international Sidney Govou earlier this week, but they made it clear that the rumour was false.
Kacar has developed into an important first team player at the Berlin side since joining them in 2008, but Hertha could be tempted to let go of the player if the price is right. Stuttgart are ready to table a €12 million bid for the 22-year-old if the report is to be believed.
The Serbian international refused to comment on the rumour when asked about the alleged interest and stated that he just wants to focus on Hertha BSC at the moment.
