“I’m very pleased with that display. We kept our shape and discipline right through to the 75th minute," Van Gaal told the post-match press conference.
"It was a little easier for us today [Wednesday], because Frankfurt set out to attack. And we also played extremely well. Every win makes us more confident. It’s important to us to stay in contention in the cup."
General director Uli Hoeness also had his say on Bayern's success. He stated that he was extremely content with Der Rekordmeister's performance against Frankfurt.
“We were extremely good, which is why Eintracht never stood a chance. That’s the way I want it," he said.
