Head coach Louis van Gaal is eager to add some fresh blood to his squad in the January transfer window, and the Dutch gaffer reportedly sees Sissoko as a potential acquisition.
The 20-year-old midfielder has developed into one of the star men at Toulouse since making his debut in 2007 and has already made well over 70 appearances for his club.
His good performances at the Ligue 1 side haven't gone unnoticed in the rest of Europe. Indeed, Tottenham Hotspur were eager to take the youngster to England last summer. However, Toulouse turned down a €15 million offer from the London side.
The French international's current deal is due to expire in the summer of 2013, meaning that he won't leave Toulouse on the cheap.
Olympique Lyonnais are also reportedly interested in the burgeoning young midfielder.
