According to a number of reports in Germany, Bundesliga outfit Hertha are considering a move for Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Umit Korkmaz.
The Berlin outfit are struggling to find their best form this season and currently sit rock bottom in the Bundesliga after 12 games. Head coach Friedhelm Funkel is therefore keen to add to his ranks in January.
Korkmaz joined his current side in the summer of 2008 from Rapid Wien, having impressed at Euro 2008 for Austria's national side. However, he has failed to make an impact at Frankfurt and is ready to move on in order to get regular first team action.
"I've heard about the interest of Hertha and it sounds like an interesting option to me. Their current coach was the one who brought me to Germany and he knows what I'm capable of," 24-year-old Korkmaz told LAOLA1.
