Khenyeza was supposed to arrive at the team’s hotel in Illovo, north of Johannesburg on Sunday night, but only reported on Monday afternoon. He was accompanied by Sundowns' chief scout, Trott Moloto, and they had a meeting with Pitso Mosimane.
“He did not answer his phone and didn’t contact the national team’s officials so he has been dropped,” Morake said, according to Kickoff.com. "Coach Carlos Alberto Parreira has made it clear that he can’t allow bad behaviour from any of the players at this stage of the preparations for the 2010 World Cup. However, the door is not closed on him with the team."
Golden Arrows striker Richard Henyekane has been called as a replacement for Khenyeza.
In other news, Morake also confirmed that Ajax Cape Town midfielder Lance Davids has been called up for injured Sundowns defender Siboniso Gaxa.
