Ukrainian powerhouse Dynamo Kiev have received some disturbing news on the injury front in the build-up towards their final two group games of the Champions League.
Highly-rated defender Yevhen Khacheridi will miss the club's remaining matches against Barcelona and Rubin Kazan due to a broken bone in his foot.
The 22-year-old suffered the injury while playing for Ukraine in the second leg of their World Cup play-off against Greece on November 18, the club's website has stated. The centre-back is expected to be sidelined for a month.
Head coach Valeri Gazzaev will probably opt to hand Ayila Yussuf a starting berth in Tuesday's game against Rubin Kazan.
