The player picked up an injury to his left knee in the 4-3 win over Cagliari on Sunday and was replaced by veteran Filippo Inzaghi in the latter stages of the match. Borriello has been in good form since returning to the fray for the Rossoneri, scoring in recent wins over Parma and Cagliari.
Meanwhile, the medical staff will make a decision on whether midfielders Mathieu Flamini and Gennaro Gattuso can take part at San Siro against the French side tomorrow.
Recent reports suggest that Flamini is likely to remain on the sidelines, while Gattuso should be available for the encounter.
During their first clash in September, the Rossoneri emerged 2-1 winners, courtesy of a brace from 'Super Pippo' Inzaghi.
