BORDEAUX
Carrasso: 7 - Didn't have much to do for most of the game, but came out well when called upon and saved any ambitious shots that came his way.
Tremoulinas: 8 - Defended well, frustrated Camoranesi, ran brilliantly up and down the left flank all match, always in space needed... should I go on? Simply put: brilliant performance.
Planus: 7 - Had limited trouble with a lonesome Amauri for the bulk of the match. Almost scored a hammered free kick in the last 10 minutes.
Ciani: 6.5 - Good performance from the second centre-back. Almost cost Bordeaux a goal at one point when he got caught out by Del Piero and Amauri. Recovered well, though, and didn't let the minor flap affect his overall performance.
Chalme: 7.5 - Much like Tremoulinas, got forward a lot, crossed well and was never afraid to shoot. Played a lot like a right-winger at times. Untraceable when running and defended wonderfully.
Diarra: 8 - One half of the midfield domination squad. Closed his men down well, great in possession and all round positive.
Fernando: 8 - Made up the second half of the partnership that completely shut out Juventus' midfield play. Kept tight when not in possession and always looked to get the ball into a more dangerous position.
Wendel: 7 - Linked up well with Tremoulinas and sent in some terrific corners. Worked the Italian defence at every opportunity.
Plasil: 8 - Always in the correct position during build-ups, the Czech international sent in the assist for Fernando's opening goal. Won a few free-kicks in dangerous areas.
Gouffran: 7.5 - Very positive early on. Beat Grosso over and over and managed a few shots on target before being subbed off.
Chamakh: 8.5 - Stretched Juve's defence all over the pitch when he wasn't on the ball. Ran well when picked out with long balls. Won numerous free kicks and was eventually rewarded with a goal of his own at the death.
Subs
Traore: 7 - Ran well after being introduced fairly late in the game.
JUVENTUS
Buffon: 7 - On his toes for the whole match. Denied Chamakh in the first half with an attempt that very few goalkeepers could honestly say they could have saved - things might have been much worse without Gigi. Could do nothing for both goals.
Grosso: 5 - Struggled with Gouffran the whole time he was on the pitch.
Chiellini: 5 - Poor marking from both centre-backs on set pieces that resulted in both goals.
Legrottaglie: 4 - Again, poor marking. Scored lower having received a yellow card for a ridiculous high-footed challenge that burst Chamakh's lip.
Caceres: 4.5 - Did as much as any young man could in a team of slow veterans. Ran well at times, but his inexperience led to the challenge that, in turn, led to the first goal.
Sissoko: 7 - Juventus' best player on the night by far. Broke up play well when called upon and tried to lead by example with a few well-timed runs. Very comfortable in possession, even if his team-mates were not.
Felipe Melo: 4 - Too slow in closing down his men and silent for very long spells. Ended up in the book with a yellow card after Gouffran made a fool out him with his lightning quick pace. Tonight, Melo was certainly not the Brazilian international that we've seen before.
Del Piero: 6 - Used every trick he had to try and create an opening for his beloved Old Lady. His age and lack of fitness definitely showed tonight though as he struggled with the pace of every Frenchman around him.
Diego: 4 - Not the Diego that we know and love. Lacked flair all match to the point that he resorted to using his hand to control the ball in the second half. Well marshalled all match and joined Amauri in missing a sitter.
Camoranesi: 3 - A thuggish performance from the 33-year-old. Conceded fouls all over the pitch, including on the left when there was absolutely no need for him to be there. His frustration showed very early on in the match, for which he received a yellow card. However, his temper didn't cool down for the remainder and was lucky not to be dismissed.
Amauri: 5 - Chased what he could, but had very little service. A comedy double-act with Diego saw them both miss an open goal as they stood waiting for the ball at the back post. Should have done much better with his best chance, isn't that what strikers are for?
Subs
Immobile: 5 - The youngster added nothing to the shape of the game.
Giovinco: 6 - His pace added a new dimension to Juve, but it was too little too late.
Marchisio: N/A
