The stars of Tunisia’s national football team began arriving in
the North African country this weekend for a four-day training camp in the city of Sousse.
Karim Haggui, Sami Allagui, Hamdi Kasraoui and the newly recruited Sofiane Chahed arrived on Saturday, while Ali Zitouni, Radhouane Flehi, and Issam Jemaa arrived a day later. The rest of the contingent will report to training on Monday.
The arrival of Allagui is a boost for the squad following recent reports that he had sustained an ankle injury in practice. It is not yet clear whether he will be available to participate on Sunday to reinforce the squad’s already depleted strikeforce.
Humberto Coelho’s men will fly to Abuja from Monastir International Airport on Friday and will have three opportunities to train in the city prior to taking on Nigeria in a match that could very well decide who qualifies for the 2010 World Cup.
