According to lionsdelatlas.net, Moroccan international midfielder Merouane Zemmama has been ruled out of action for a minimum of three weeks due to the groin injury he suffered in a match against Aberdeen.
The loss of Zemmama is not the only concern for Atlas Lions coach Hassan Moumen, as three other players including Mounir El Hamdaoui, Jaouad Zairi, and Youssef Safri are unlikely to feature in the clash that will determine whether the North African country squeeze into January's African Cup of Nations.
Given these developments, Moumen may well be forced to call upon more locally based players from Morocco’s Botola league than he is accustomed to doing. Fortunately, half of the 36 footballers he named in his enlarged list of pre-selected players happen to be plying their trade in the domestic competition.
