Bosnia-Herzegovina have received some disappointing news from the treatment table ahead of Wednesday's decisive World Cup qualifier against Portugal.
Highly rated midfielder Zvjezdan Misimovic will be forced to watch the game from the stands after a leg injury has made it impossible for him to participate.
The playmaker picked up a knee injury in Saturday's 1-0 away loss, but Misimovic was expected to be match fit in time for the return leg.
According to a report in Kicker, Bosnia coach Miroslav Blazevic will opt to hand Zlatan Bajramovic a starting berth as Misimovic's replacement. However, Real Valladolid's Haris Medunjanin is also a candidate to replace the Wolfsburg star.
Emir Spahic, Elvir Rahimic and Samir Muratovic are all suspended after picking up bookings in Saturday's game.
