Eredivisie outfit Twente will be without young defender Nicky Kuiper in the Europa League match against Moldavian minnows Sheriff on Thursday evening.

The highly rated left-back is fighting the flu and was not fit enough to travel along to Moldova with the rest of the team. Kuiper already missed last weekend's Eredivisie clash against AZ due to the illness.

The former Vitesse starlet was replaced by Dwight Tiendalli last weekend, but the latter is ineligible for the Europa League. Therefore, head coach Steve McClaren will hand David Carney or Jeroen Heubach the chance to prove his worth.

Meanwhile, Slobodan Rajkovic and Dario Vujicevic will be unavailable on Thursday, too. Both youngsters are out of action due to various injury worries.
