Formation: 4-2-3-1

Goalkeeper

Darley (Feyenoord): The highly-rated shot-stopper put in a good performance against ADO Den Haag. Darley made a number of top-class saves to help his side to the full three points by keeping a clean sheet.

Defence

Bart Schenkeveld (Feyenoord): The young defender successfully coped with in-form winger Karim Soltani and will be over the moon with his impressive debut. Schenkeveld proved head coach Mario Been right for handing him a starting berth and the youngster certainly is one for the future.

Ron Vlaar (Feyenoord): Vlaar was able to cope with the threat of the ADO Den Haag attacking line with ease. The towering centre back competed for every ball and was solid as a rock in the Feyenoord defence. He capped a good performance with a powerful header to gift the Rotterdam side the lead.

Jan Vertonghen (Ajax): The Belgian youngster was never really troubled by the Vitesse attack and showed some fine passing. Vertonghen hardly set a foot wrong throughout the game and was Ajax’s best defender in Arnhem.

Youssef el Akchaoui (NEC): Outstanding display from the impressive defender. El Akchaoui set up Vleminckx for his side’s opener in the 2-2 draw against Groningen and made some impressive runs forward before converting a spot kick.

Defensive Midfield

Wout Brama (Twente): The Dutch international helped Twente to a 3-1 away win against Willem II with yet another commanding performance. Brama capped a fine game with his first ever Eredivisie goal.

Eyong Enoh (Ajax): Enoh made several telling interceptions and was never afraid to execute a strong tackle. The holding midfielder provided his back four with excellent cover whenever needed and looked confident on the ball too.

Attacking Midfield


Jeremain Lens (AZ): Lens was once again one of the best men on the pitch for AZ in their 2-0 win against VVV. The versatile attacker opened the score before the break and provided the assist for the second goal.

Viktor Elm (Heerenveen): The Swedish midfielder was instrumental in Heerenveen’s 3-1 victory against RKC. Elm netted a brace and was a major threat throughout the match. Should have scored another, but missed from twelve yards.

Balazs Dzsudzsak (PSV): The highly rated winger put in an excellent performance on Friday evening. Dzsudzsak set up Lazovic for PSV’s first goal and helped the Eindhoven side to the full three points with a right footed shot halfway the second half.

Forward

Marko Pantelic (Ajax): The Serbian hitman has been heavily criticized ever since he joined Ajax on a free transfer, but he proved all his critics wrong with a superb performance against Vitesse. Pantelic netted a hat-trick to help his side to a 5-1 away win.
