Russian powerhouse CSKA Moscow are back in the race for qualification for the knock-out stage of the Champions League after Wednesday's 2-1 win against Bundesliga side Wolfsburg. Serbian international Milos Krasic scored the match winner and was more than happy with his side's victory.
"I collected the ball from Evgeni Aldonin, saw nobody was going to tackle me and aimed for the far corner. I was lucky to hit it so well. We were stronger tonight and deserved to win," Krasic was quoted as saying at a press conference.
"I don't know why we failed to impress before the break. It just happens sometimes. Wolfsburg have plenty of quality players – like Dzeko and Misimovic – and they played well.
"But what matters is we managed to show spirit and come back into the match quickly. We created some chances in the first half and played great in the second. Yes, we could have made it 3-1 or even 4-1 but a win is still a win," continued the winger.
"We are very happy because we won a very tough match. We showed our real level, playing some good football. We should not think about the other match, we still have a chance. If we play the same way against Besiktas, we will definitely be in contention."
