Roma defender Juan and number one goalkeeper Alexander Doni were both called up to the Brazilian national squad, to take on England and Oman in the nation’s two upcoming friendlies over the next fortnight.
The Lupi pair have both been injured over the course of the season, resulting in them both missing the capital club’s 1-1 draw with the league leaders Inter last weekend.
Despite this, the Brazilian coach Dunga declared that the duo had no choice but to join up with the squad, whilst the Giallorossi were not willing to budge either.
According to the latest reports from Forzaroma.info though, the Italian giants have met the Selecao halfway, by allowing Doni to join up with the squad, whilst Juan will undergo further medical tests and treatment in Rome over the next fortnight, and will therefore not be available for selection.
The defender will continue to work on his recovery from a calf injury, whilst the shot stopper, along with team-mate Julio Baptista, will join up with the national team in the coming days.
