The midfielder told the press that the anxiety leading up to the match is huge, but that his team have the necessary quality to claim a victory that would hand them the title.
"We want to play now, we want to beat Huracan and cap off this season with the title. The wait has been very long. There's anxiety, but this is a squad of players. We know what we are playing for and we are prepared for this," said Zapata.
He continued: "It is a match in which we have to work hard. The anxiety can't play against us. It is certain that the only thing that serves us is to win, but it is a match that lasts 90 minutes. To play desperately would be an error."
Zapata, one of the key players of Ricardo Gareca's squad, stressed the importance for his side to be well disciplined at all moments of the match.
"We have to go out to play with determination, but also with organisation. Playing that way at our field has always given us good results. We always go out to win. And to be obligated to do this doesn't change anything. We will only think about our game."
Zapata and Velez Sarsfield will be looking for their first national championship since 2005.
