Cameroon coach Paul Le Guen released a statement
on Monday with the list of
22 players selected for the World Cup qualifying encounter against Morocco.
The main innovation is the return of Tottenham Hotspur left-back Benoit Assou-Ekotto, who was omitted from the recent game against Togo. Club-mate Sebastien Bassong is in the squad but may miss out due to an injury.
Otherwise, their group is unchanged compared to men who beat Togo 3-0 last month.
The Indomitable Lions are currently holding first place in Group A with ten points from five games. Gabon trail them by only a solitary mark, so the game against Morocco is must-win.
Goalkeepers : Carlos Kameni, (Espanyol/SPA), Souleymanou Hamidou (Kayserispor/TUR).
Defenders : Rigobert Song (Trabzonspor/TUR), Geremi Njitap (Newcastle United/ENG), Sebastien Bassong (Tottenham Hotspur/ENG), Benoit Assou-Ekotto (Tottenham Hotspur/ENG), Henri Bedimo (Chateauroux/FRA), Augustin Binya (Neuchatel Xamax/SWI), Andre Bikey (Burnley/ENG), Nicolas Nkoulou (Monaco/FRA).
Midfielders : Jean II Makoun (Lyon/FRA), Stephane Mbia (Olympique de Marseille/FRA), Daniel Ngom Kome (Tenerife/SPA), Eyong Enoh (Ajax Amsterdam/HOL), Landry Nguemo (Celtic Glasgow/SCO), Alexandre Song (Arsenal/ENG).
Forwards : Achille Emana (Betis Seville/SPA), Somen Tchoyi (Red Bull Salzburg/AUS), Achille Webo (Real Mallorca/SPA), Albert Meyong (Sporting Braga/POR), Paul Alo'o Efoulou (Nancy/FRA), Samuel Eto'o (Inter Milan/ITA).
