Jean-Marc Guillou, the Frenchman who founded the famous Asec academy that produced the likes of Didier Zokora and Kolo and Yaya Toure, has slammed the coach of the Ivory Coast, Vahid Halilhodzic, insisting the Elephants are in danger of an early exit from the World Cup with him in charge of the team.

Guillou told Le Temps newspaper that the former Paris Saint-Germain coach was the "most incompetent" coach to ever handle the Ivory Coast going by his tactics and team selection.

He said the Elephants only qualified for their second World Cup on account of the individual brilliance of such players like Didier Drogba as they no longer play as a unit.

"With Halilhodzic, the Ivory Coast no longer play as a team. Yes, they have again qualified for the World Cup, but that was essentially because of the individual brilliance of the players," said Guillou, who also does not not rate the previous Elephants handler, Uli Steilike.

The Frenchman predicted that with Halilhodzic in charge of the Elephants, the Ivory Coast will not go past the first round of next year's World Cup, neither will they win the 2010 Africa Nations Cup in Angola.
