Tanzania's Taifa Stars To Face Yemen In A Friendly Match - Report
This is the second friendly in a week after losing 5-1 against Egypt on Thursday.

After losing heavily against the African champions Egypt on Thursday, Taifa Stars will again test Yemen today, in the first of two friendly matches lined up between the two teams.
Stars succumbed to a humiliating 5-1 defeat against the Pharaohs of Egypt in Aswan city, the first heavy defeat since Brazilian tactician Marcio Maximo took charge of the team, and nothing less than a win in today’s match would heal the wounds.
After Egypt’s game, Maximo conceded that the defeat was difficult to accept, but sounded philosophical as he acknowledged that the rout had taught his side a lesson.
At 139th position in FIFA ranking, Yemen is seemingly a low profile opponent against Stars in 99th position. The last time the two met, Stars, then ranked 97th, lost 2-1 to Yemen who were trailing in 139th position. It was the first ever meeting between the two teams.
Taifa Stars will play their second match against their hosts on Wednesday, before returning home to prepare for the Council of East and Central African Football Associations (CECAFA) Senior Challenge Cup, due to kick off in the Kenyan city of Nairobi and Mumias town from November 28 to December 13.
