Hull City midfielder Seyi Olofinjana has disclosed that he will be sidelined by a hamstring injury for at least a month.
"The doctors have said I will be out of action for about four weeks following my injury in Kenya," Olofinjana told Nigerian sports radio station Brila FM.
The Nigeria international suffered the injury during his country's decisive World Cup qualifier against Kenya two weeks ago. He was forced out of the game in the first half and was replaced by Ukraine-based Ayila Yussuf as Nigeria went on to win 3-2 to qualify for next year's World Cup in South Africa.
Olofinjana, who is now one of the most experienced players in the Nigerian team, said he is looking forward to the event.
"I can't wait to feature at my first World Cup. That is the ultimate dream of any footballer. I only have to work hard and pray to be free of injury so as to stand a chance of being picked for the World Cup," Olofinjana said.
