Liverpool have allegedly begun their January transfer window drive six weeks early as a deal has been struck between the Reds and Blue Square Premier side Luton Town for prodigiously-talented 14-year-old, Dave Moli.
The teenager has continuously impressed while donning the colours of Luton's youth teams, and according to reports, had been the subject of intense interest from Premier League sides - despite competing for a club in the fifth-tier of English football.
Moli will continue his footballing education under the tutelage of Rafael Benitez and the Liverpool management.
Luton youth development officer Gregg Broughton told the club's official website: "Although we never like to lose talented footballers from Luton Town, it is also important that if it is right for the football club that we don't stand in the way of a young player's development.
"It is not our usual policy to allow any of our young players to leave Kenilworth Road for another club. Nobody wants to see a player with potential such as Dave's leave, but on this occasion we took into consideration a number of factors."
Broughton continued: "The first is the value of the player in the short and long term, while the second takes into account the player's natural footballing progression and development.
"All of these aspects were taken into consideration and we felt it right to allow Dave and his family to talk to Liverpool.
"We're delighted to be able to accept a bid on behalf of such a big club, but stress that the club's policy of allowing young players to leave is a strict one."
