Brighton vs Tottenham: TV channel, live stream, team news & preview

Tottenham are fast approaching crisis point.

Never previously had they lost three consecutive games under Mauricio Pochettino, but they have been beaten by Watford, Liverpool and Inter in the space of the last month, and need a victory quickly.

A trip to Brighton may seem like an easy trip on paper, but the Seagulls have history of showing up the big boys - they have already beaten Manchester United this season - and fought back to claim a vital 2-2 draw with Southampton last week, having been 2-0 down.

PositionBrighton players
Goalkeepers Ryan, Steele, Button
Defenders Bruno, Bong, Dunk, Schelotto, Duffy, Suttner, Balogun, Bernardo, Montoya, Barclay
Midfielders Stephens, Kanal, Knocktet, Groß, March, Propper, Bissouma, Collar
Forwards Murray, Izquierdo, Locadia, Andone, Jahanbakhsh, Gyokeres, Connolly

Brighton will definitely be without Pascal Gross as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.

Jose Izquierdo faces a late fitness test, but there are unlikely to be many changes from the team that fought back against Southampton.

Potential Brighton XI: Ryan, Montoya, Duffy, Dunk, Bong, Stephens, Bissouma, March, Propper, Knockaert, Murray

PositionTottenham players
Goalkeepers Lloris, Vorm, Gazzaniga
Defenders Trippier, Rose, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Sanchez, Foyth, Aurier, Davies, Walker-Peters
Midfielders Lamela, Wanyama, Dier, Sissoko, Dembele, Alli, Eriksen, Lucas Moura, Winks, Nkoudou, Amos
Forwards Kane, Son, Llorente, Janssen

Spurs played Inter without Toby Alderweireld and Kieran Trippier, but the pair could return against Brighton.

Hugo Lloris remains injured, but Michel Vorm has not impressed in his stead, perhaps leaving the door open for Paulo Gazzaniga.

Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko are both back in training but are unlikely to be risked.

Potential Spurs XI: Gazzaniga, Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Dier, Dembele, Eriksen, Lucas, Son, Kane

Spurs look tired after their World Cup exertions - a number of players played in the maximum number of games, with Spurs players representing England, Belgium and France at the tournament - and need a pick-me-up.

Losses to Watford, Liverpool and Inter have led many to hit the panic button, with Harry Kane looking particularly jaded.

However, the main worry is the lack of tempo throughout those games, with their opponents simply seeming to want it more.

That attitude will not do on the south coast, with Brighton regularly relishing the underdog tag.

Their 3-2 win over Manchester United earlier this season was predicated on a solid foundation and a clinical striker up front - something Spurs fans should be familiar with.

There is no easy way to arrest Spurs' slump, but they must not assume victory will come easy here, as it is unlikely to.
